4th Day Letters

4th Day Letters are a FREE weekly email that is sent out every Tuesday to Christians around the world. I began these letters in response to a calling God placed on my heart in 2011. My purpose is to inspire, motivate and challenge Christian to be the best followers of Jesus Christ they can be, so that they can leave a Christian impact on everyone they encounter each day.

The name “4th Day Letters” is derived from Christian movements like Cursillo, Kairos, Via de Cristo, and Walk to Emmaus. Each of these movements are experienced over 3 days. Following those three days these Christians are called to live out their 4th Day through prayer, study and evangelization.

It is also important to acknowledge that Jesus rose on the 3rd day, therefore all humanity is living out its historical 4th day.

I hope these weekly letters inspire, motivate and challenge you as you live out your 4th Day and walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

May God’s Blessing Be With You

The Gift of Humiliation

The Gift of Humiliation

Most every human being has likely been humiliated at some point in life. Humiliation comes in the form of exclusion, ostracism, ridicule, betrayal, abandonment, online shaming, and in endless other ways. Have you ever been humiliated? Have you ever thought of...

Fishing In A Stocked Pond

Fishing In A Stocked Pond

In Matthew 4:19 Jesus said, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” He was not only speaking to Simon and Andrew, He was speaking to all Christians. There has never been a better time to accept this calling because in our modern world we are fishing in a...

Following From A Distance

Following From A Distance

In Matthew 26:58 we find a poignant moment in the life of Peter, one of Jesus’ closest disciples. Peter was following Jesus from a distance. This verse provides a powerful reminder for how we, as Christians, often follow Jesus from a distance. Please read more. During...

Eclipsed By Darkness

Eclipsed By Darkness

With each eclipse there is a gradual obscuration of light, moments of total darkness, and the promise of light returned. This recurring pattern has been with us since the dawn of creation.  No, I am not referring to a solar eclipse. The phenomenon I am referring to...

Insurmountable Opportunities

Insurmountable Opportunities

Life presents us with insurmountable opportunities. That seems like an oxymoronic statement, but it’s true. It seems contradictory, when in fact, it’s a paradoxical reality.  Why? Because when God is with us, challenges and obstacles that would otherwise be...

Sight Created – Not Restored

Sight Created – Not Restored

The Bible gives us several stories about Jesus healing blind men. John’s Gospel account of one of those healings makes an important distinction. Jesus did not simply restore the sight of the blind man, but He created sight for a blind man who had never seen before....

Happy Easter

Happy Easter

Happy Easter Everyone! Our Lord is Risen from the dead. He is alive. He is with us now and always. Alleluia, alleluia! I have loved the song He’s Alive by Don Francisco from the first time I heard it many years ago. For me, it captures both the pain and anguish of...

Elusive Happiness – Persistent Regret

Elusive Happiness – Persistent Regret

His head was bowed low as he sat in the pew on Sunday morning. He reflected on life. Sorrow and regret brought a tear to his eye. Consumed with sadness, he wondered, “Where is this Christian joy that everyone talks about?” He anxiously pondered the thought, “Has Jesus...

What Is Truth?

What Is Truth?

Just prior to the crucifixion, Pilate asked Jesus, “What is truth.” Little did he know that his question would echo throughout history and become a prophetic statement about modern times. Does objective truth exist today, or is all truth now subjective? How would you...

Dazzling Bright and Clear

Dazzling Bright and Clear

The story of the Transfiguration as depicted in Mark 9:2-8 tells us that Jesus’ clothes became “dazzling white, such as no fuller on earth could bleach them.” The apostles saw Jesus in a way they never had before. We all want to see Jesus more clearly. We want clarity...
