4th Day Letters

4th Day Letters are a FREE weekly email that is sent out every Tuesday to Christians around the world. I began these letters in response to a calling God placed on my heart in 2011. My purpose is to inspire, motivate and challenge Christian to be the best followers of Jesus Christ they can be, so that they can leave a Christian impact on everyone they encounter each day.

The name “4th Day Letters” is derived from Christian movements like Cursillo, Kairos, Via de Cristo, and Walk to Emmaus. Each of these movements are experienced over 3 days. Following those three days these Christians are called to live out their 4th Day through prayer, study and evangelization.

It is also important to acknowledge that Jesus rose on the 3rd day, therefore all humanity is living out its historical 4th day.

I hope these weekly letters inspire, motivate and challenge you as you live out your 4th Day and walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

May God’s Blessing Be With You

It’s Hard to be Humble!

It’s Hard to be Humble!

Aristotle understood humility as a moral virtue, sandwiched between the vices of arrogance and moral weakness. The Old Testament was clear on the importance of humility. Jesus exemplified humility. With all of this said, let’s be honest, it’s hard to be humble. Please...

Misplacing Coins and Losing Sheep

Misplacing Coins and Losing Sheep

Throughout history, many Christians have temporarily drifted away from the faith, only to return after a time “in the desert.” Times are different now. Research shows that today’s Christians are leaving and not, on their own accord, coming back. Why are they leaving?...

Trust And Confidence

Trust And Confidence

Imagine a small child riding in the back seat of his father’s car, fully trusting that his father will get him home safely. At no point would the toddler know how to find his own way home. As we travel through life, we need that same level of trust and confidence....

Concrete Shoes

Concrete Shoes

Who would have thought that a song from a 1928 music drama about MacHeath, a cold-blooded, knife-wielding criminal from London’s underworld, would go on to become a huge hit. Yet, Mack The Knife, sung by Bobby Darin in 1959, became a number one hit and earned him two...

Struggling To See God

Struggling To See God

Some days we see God everywhere. We observe Him in nature, in the circumstances of the day and certainly in the people we encounter. Still there are other days when He is obscured from our view. We strain to see Him, but He seems nowhere to be found. Have you...

The Laborers Are Few

The Laborers Are Few

Current data shows there are 8.8 million job openings in the United States, but only 6.3 million unemployed workers. We have a serious labor shortage, and it is easily apparent in the restaurant business. Some no longer offer dine-in service, those that do are usually...

Now I Begin

Now I Begin

All Christians are called to become saints. This includes you and me. But what does that entail? After all, we are all sinners so is becoming a saint even possible? Is the call to holiness and perfection beyond our reach? Find out in today’s message. In Leviticus 19:2...

Against Reason

Against Reason

Most of us have a few sins from our past that haunt us. Some of us have recurring sins that we just cannot break free from. Like St. Paul, we cry out, “For I do not do the good I want, but I do the evil I do not want.” Why do we do keep sinning? Today we will explore...

Set Apart

Set Apart

Approximately eight billion of us occupy this place we call earth. Many religions, ideologies and ways of life exert influence on the world’s societies. As Christians, we live in this world, but we are also set apart from the world. For most of us, this is a paradox....

Preach To The Birds

Preach To The Birds

“Preach the Gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words.” Most Christians are familiar with this quote. Some of us have used this quote. Sadly, too many of us are confused by the quote. The quote is widely attributed to St. Francis of Assisi.  Did he say it? Did...
