Over my past fifteen years in this ministry, and countless discussions with Christians around the country, I have discovered that there is something revealed in the Lord’s Supper that many people have never fully noticed. Most of us know exactly what Jesus said during the meal, but some of us have overlooked what He did. During the meal Jesus demonstrated a simple rhythm that has the power to transform our lives. In today’s message, we’ll take a fresh look at something that has been hidden in plain sight. I invite you to read more.

I have some exciting news to share. I’ve finally completed my new book, and I can’t wait for you to hear about it. This has been on my heart for a long time, and I believe it has the potential to help us all live our faith in a deeper, more meaningful way.

Over the years, through retreats, conversations, and ministry, I have noticed something. Despite believing in and loving God, many of us still feel as if something is missing. We all want our faith to change how we live, not just what we believe.

This is what ultimately led me to write Living Out the Lord’s Supper: Why Being at the Table Is Just the Beginning .

My new book does not attempt to explain the Lord’s Supper itself. Instead, it draws the reader’s attention to something Jesus demonstrated during that meal, something so simple that many of us have overlooked it. He revealed a rhythm that speaks directly to how we are meant to live our lives.

I am excited because I believe this book can help us all live out our faith in a more meaningful way. I believe it can help people who feel stuck begin to understand why. I believe it can help people see that the very parts of their lives they wish were different may actually be the places where God is already at work. And I believe it offers something that is not just helpful for individuals, but something that could benefit entire churches if it is read and lived together.

So yes, I am excited, and I hope you can feel that. I hope you will consider getting a copy for yourself, not just to read quickly, but to sit with and reflect on. To find out more about the book, or to order it, click here. It is currently available on Amazon and it will soon be available in bookstores everywhere. If your favorite bookstore does not carry it, ask them to order it for you. I hope you will also consider sharing it with someone else who might benefit from it. After reading the book, if it touched your heart, please leave a favorable review on Amazon.

My hope is that you might also mention this book to your pastor or church leaders, because I believe this is a message that can help communities of believers grow in a more authentic and outwardly lived faith. The book concludes with a series of discussion questions, which makes it ideal for a small group study, a parish program, or even an informal gathering of friends who want to grow together. If your church or group is interested in purchasing copies in quantities of 50 or more, please email me to learn more about our group discounted rates. It is not just meant to be read, its meant to be discussed, lived, and shared.

I don’t want to give away the heart of the book here, because discovering that rhythm is part of the journey. But I do want to say this. Sometimes the things that can change us the most are not hidden because they are complicated, but because they are so simple that we have passed by them without noticing. My hope is that my short 101 page devotional book helps bring that into focus and helps each of us begin to live our faith in a more real and life-giving way.

Heavenly Father, open our eyes to see what we have too often overlooked. Help us not just to believe, but to live the truth You are revealing. Give us the courage to trust that You are at work even in our struggles, and use us to reflect Your love to others. Amen.
